Winthrop-University Hospital’s Health Update for Seniors educational program will offer a free lecture, “For Your Eyes Only,” on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 1:15 PM. The program will be held at the Mineola Community Center, 155 Washington Avenue in Mineola (one block south of Jericho Turnpike and one block east of Mineola Boulevard). Nazanin Barzideh, MD, Chief of Vitreoretinal Surgery in the Division of Ophthalmology at Winthrop, will discuss new advances in the diagnosis and treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and cataracts. A question and answer period will be included. Free parking is adjacent to the building. Metered parking is available across the street. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
