Christopher J. Cavallaro, RPLU (Registered Professional Liability Underwriter), Managing Director of ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC, has been elected to Winthrop-University Hospital’s Board of Directors. Mr. Cavallaro joins the devoted corps of community leaders and business professionals who contribute to the continuing growth and expansion of the Hospital’s high-quality, innovative healthcare services.
In 1986, Mr. Cavallaro co-founded ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC. The company is now the largest independent wholesale broker specializing in Management Liability and Professional Liability products.
A leader in the Management Liability and Professional Liability, Mr. Cavallaro frequently lectures on topics related to risk management and has published several articles on the subject.
Prior to co-founding his business, Mr. Cavallaro served as the Senior Vice President at American International Group of both the Management Liability and Professional Liability products written by National Union Fire Insurance Company.
Mr. Cavallaro graduated cum laude from Queens College with an Economics and Finance degree and is a Past President of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
Mr. Cavallaro and his wife, Linda, reside in New Hyde Park and have two children.
