Winthrop-University Hospital is proud to announce a major step forward in walk-in healthcare and addressing the healthcare needs of the community: the opening of Winthrop Medical Affiliates Urgent Care.
Winthrop Medical Affiliates Urgent Care is staffed by top Board-certified Internal Medicine and Family Medicine specialists, and Physician Assistants. The center will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is conveniently located on the first floor of the 222 Station Plaza building, Suite 110, facing the Mineola train station, with parking available in the 222 Garage and also free valet parking adjacent to the center.
The center provides another option for multiple urgent medical issues – life’s mini-emergencies that require attention but are not life-threatening and do not necessarily require a visit to the emergency room. Anyone ages 16 and up can walk in and receive high quality, urgent care in a quick and friendly fashion. Radiology and laboratory services are also available at the center. No appointment is necessary and most insurance plans are accepted. After evaluation and treatment, all patients and their physicians will receive a clinical summary of the services that were provided.
“It’s here!” said Nicholas Berbari, MD, FACP, Medical Director, Winthrop Internal Medicine Associates. “Our state-of-the-art Winthrop Medical Affiliates Urgent Care provides high-quality, quick, friendly walk-in care to our community and Winthrop family and friends. Our physicians and staff here at the center provide another great option for care.”
