Mineola, NY - Mineola, NY – Representatives from Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers recently visited Winthrop-University Hospital’s Breast Health Center to present a check for $1,313 in support of the Hospital’s Angel Fund, which benefits breast cancer patients in need.
“We are very grateful for our partnership with Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers. Their support inspires us and will aid in the Angel Fund’s mission to provide financial assistance to our patients,” said Frank Monteleone, MD, Chief of Breast Services and Director of the Breast Health Center at Winthrop.
Throughout the month of October—Breast Cancer Awareness Month—customers who ordered Ben’s famous Matzo Ball Soup had the opportunity to purchase a Pink Matzo Ball for an additional charge, which was then donated to the Angel Fund. The promotion was called “Cancer Ain’t Kosher.”
