Diego Chiarandini Joins Winthrop as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources

Diego Chiarandini, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources at Winthrop-University Hospital Mineola, NY – Diego Chiarandini has joined Winthrop-University Hospital as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.

Mr. Chiarandini is a highly experienced Human Resources professional with over 16 years of generalist and specialist experience across all aspects of human resources. He most recently served as Human Resources Director at Yale New Haven Health System / Greenwich Hospital. Prior to Yale New Haven, he held various leadership roles in Human Resources at IBM. Throughout his career, he has built his experience and track record of achievements in strategic planning, talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, change management, and project management. His areas of responsibility at Winthrop will include talent acquisition, compensation, employee records, timekeeping, and HR systems, as well as other projects and initiatives.

Prior to working in Human Resources, Mr. Chiarandini lived in Seattle, Washington, and taught special education at the elementary level. Mr. Chiarandini received his Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University, and his MBA from Cornell University – Johnson Graduate School of Management. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Washington. Mr. Chiarandini is a proud father and husband and enjoys learning about astronomy, gardening and nutrition.
