Mineola, NY – Committed to building the next generation of diabetes educators, Winthrop-University Hospital was pleased to host the fall Diabetes Core Curriculum Workshop™ (DCCW) on October 18-20, 2016 at the Garden City Hotel.
The DCCW course is designed to prepare health professionals for the Certified Diabetes Educator® (CDE) examination or to provide the requisite continuing education credits for renewal of the CDE or BC-ADM credential. This year, a new format for the course helped reduce expenses and time away from the workplace, and included online self-study along with expanded opportunities for interactive discussion during the live conference.
Open to professionals in all health disciplines, including, but not limited to, advanced practice and registered nurses, registered dietitians, pharmacists, physicians, mental health professionals, and certified health education specialists, the DCCW also prepares health professionals in the principles and skills required for chronic disease management.
The next DCCW is set for March 20-22, 2017. For additional information, call 516-663-2350.
