- NYU Winthrop Hospital Offers Free Community Lecture "Shedding a Light on Menopause"

Mineola, NY — NYU Winthrop Hospital's "Inspiring Women" educational series will offer a free seminar, "Shedding a Light on Menopause," on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 7 PM. It will be held at the NYU Winthrop Hospital Research & Academic Center, 101 Mineola Boulevard, at the corner of Second Street in Mineola.
Karyn Wat, MD, Attending Physician from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Winthrop, will define menopause and review common symptoms and changes women experience. Dr. Wat will also discuss the risks and benefits of hormone replacement therapy and alternative therapies for menopausal symptoms. The seminar will include a question and answer session.
