Title   Alliance A011401: Randomized Phase III Trial Evaluating the Role of Weight Loss in Adjuvant Treatment of Overweight and Obese Women with Early Breast Cancer: BWEL Breast Cancer Weight Loss Study
Summary   The aim of this study is to determine if losing weight will help prevent breast cancer from recurring in women with invasive breast cancer. This study will help to determine if weight loss programs should be a part of breast cancer treatment.
Description   Patients will be randomized to receive a 2-year health education intervention or a 2-year health education intervention with a supervised weight loss program with a health coach. The study also involves completing questionnaires that are designed to assess lifestyle and health issues. Patients will be followed for 10 years.

Inclusion/Notes   To be eligible to participate in this study, patients must meet several criteria including but not limited to the following: 18 years of age or older; HER2 negative invasive breast cancer; patients are enrolled within 1 year of diagnosis.
