The Starlight Foundation Delivers Tablets to Pediatric Inpatient Center
Representatives from Starlight Children's Foundation, Colgate Palmolive and BJ's Wholesale Club deliver Starlight Tablets to NYU Winthrop's Pediatric Inpatient Unit.
Representatives from Starlight Children’s Foundation who partnered with Colgate Palmolive and BJ’s Wholesale Club visited NYU Winthrop recently to donate four Starlight Tablets, designed to ease fear and anxiety for hospitalized children. The Starlight Tablets feature an iPad 2 and on-demand digital educational programming, housed in a protective Otterbox Defender case. During procedures or wait times, kids can play games, complete homework, communicate with friends, watch videos and more.
“We are so grateful to the Starlight Foundation for donating these tools to help serve the needs of our children through education and fun,” said Nicole Almeida, MS, CCLS, Director of the Child Life Program
at NYU Winthrop.
