Senator Jack M. Martins Delivers Toys to Young Patients

Senator Jack M. Martins, fifth from right, joins John F. Collins, President and CEO at NYU Winthrop, fourth from right, and other members of the NYU Winthrop staff at the holiday toy drive.

Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) helped spread holiday cheer to young patients at NYU Winthrop Hospital when he delivered over 2,000 toys he collected through his holiday toy drive.

“The gift of a new toy always brightens a child’s spirits and that’s even more important for children in the hospital who are going through tough times. The community’s extraordinary generosity brought smiles to the faces of many children in need of some extra cheer,” said Senator Martins.

Senator Jack M. Martins delivered toys to young patients.

Students from nine local schools, patrons of two local libraries and residents from across Senator Martins’ Senate District collected and donated the toys, which will be given out to NYU Winthrop patients throughout the entire year.

“We appreciate the Senator’s generosity and all those who joined with him to make the holiday toy drive a success,” said John F. Collins, President and CEO of NYU Winthrop.
