Volunteering at NYU Winthrop Hospital
At NYU Winthrop Hospital, volunteers are an essential part of the Hospital family, helping us to deliver compassionate world-class care to our patients.
The NYU Winthrop Hospital Volunteer Program offers volunteers many rewarding and meaningful opportunities to interact with patients, assist staff, or provide clerical or administrative support to various departments. By volunteering at NYU Winthrop Hospital, many people have enriched their own lives while helping others and serving a vital role in the local community.
Creative placement and flexible scheduling afford each new volunteer an opportunity to pursue his or her special interests while putting to use individual skills and talents. Long-term and short-term assignments are available seven days a week. A minimum commitment of three to four hours per week is requested.
We welcome volunteers who are 16 years or older and willing to devote their time and energy into our Teen and Senior Volunteer Programs. Applicants should be dependable, responsible, friendly and willing to make a firm commitment. Volunteers must meet basic requirements, including NYU Winthrop Hospital’s health and immunization standards.
